This device is exactly like a brazier commanding fire elementals. However, when a fire is started within it, the burning causes great clouds of magical smoke to pour out in a cloud with a 1' radius around the brazier. All creatures within the cloud must save vs. spell or fall into a deep sleep.
At the same moment, a fire elemental of 12 Hit Dice appears and attacks the nearest creature. Sleepers can be awakened only by a dispel magic or remove curse spell.
